Shipping Policy

DAÄS Gelato is made in micro-batches and packed with care. Because we’re delivering a frozen product, we keep things tight, fast, and reliable—so your order lands the way it should: frozen, flawless, and ready to share.

Delivery (Sydney)

We currently deliver to selected areas across Sydney (and nearby suburbs) where we can confidently maintain the frozen chain. If your address is outside our delivery zone, checkout will let you know automatically.

Choose your delivery date at checkout

Important: At checkout, you’ll be prompted to confirm when you require delivery. Please select your preferred delivery day/time so we can coordinate your order correctly.

Order cut-off (Same-day delivery)

Orders placed before 9:00am are eligible for same-day delivery unless specified otherwise at checkout.

Orders placed after 9:00am will be scheduled for the next available delivery day, based on your selection at checkout.

Delivery time windows

We deliver within the nominated window selected at checkout (or confirmed via SMS/email). While we do our best to meet exact times, delivery windows may shift slightly due to traffic, weather, and route volumes.

Delivery fees

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order size. Free delivery may apply for orders over $50 (if active).

Frozen-chain packaging

We pack all gelato and sorbet orders in insulated packaging with ice packs/dry ice where required, designed to maintain safe frozen temperatures during transit.

Because conditions vary (heat, building access, delivery instructions), we strongly recommend you:

  • Ensure someone is available to receive your order, or
  • Provide clear, safe delivery instructions at checkout.

Authority to Leave (ATL)

If you select Authority to Leave, you are giving permission for the courier/driver to leave your order at the delivery address without a signature.

Once an order is left as per your instructions, DAÄS Gelato can’t be responsible for:

  • Melted product due to delayed collection
  • Theft
  • Exposure to sun/heat
  • Incorrect or unsafe delivery instructions

If you do not want ATL, please make sure someone is available to accept delivery.

Apartments, hotels & receptions

For apartments/hotels, we deliver to the most accessible safe drop-off point (e.g. reception or lobby) unless otherwise arranged. If reception refuses frozen deliveries, or we cannot access the building, the order may be returned and a redelivery fee may apply.

Incorrect address details

Please double-check your address and contact number at checkout. If an order can’t be delivered due to incorrect details, missed calls, or inability to access the address, we may need to return the order and/or arrange redelivery at an additional cost.

Click & Collect

Click & Collect is available daily between 9:00am and 6:00pm.

Please only come to collect your order once you have received your order confirmation and your collection-ready email.

Getting here (Bondi Junction)

We’re located in Bondi Junction, directly above Central Bus & Train Station.

Access can also be obtained up the ramp from Oxford Street, outside the Street Mall, Bondi Junction.

Free parking for collections (1 hour)

For all Click & Collect orders, you can utilise 1 hour free parking inside Meriton. Simply park inside Meriton in the Retail Loading Zone or any Guest or Little Zak’s Academy parking.

Take the stairs or lift down 1 level to reach us. If you’re in the hotel, you’ve gone too far.

Damages, issues, or “something’s not right”

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not frozen as expected, contact us within 2 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the product and packaging

We’ll make it right.

Gifts

Sending DAÄS as a gift? Love that. Please make sure the recipient knows a frozen delivery is coming and will be available to receive it.
